The hotel is lovely! It is clean and offers a delicious, hearty breakfast. My room had a stunning view of the sea and the rock formations of Ha Long Bay. It offers excellent value for money. The only thing to keep in mind is that dining options in the area are very limited; if you arrive in the evening—as I did—you might end up going hungry. Otherwise, I was very pleased!

The location is great for catching the next day’s boat, but almost all the bay buildings are empty or destroyed. The place is tourist‑friendly on the island unless you build a bridge to board one of the beautiful sightseeing boats, but not for more than 1 or 2 nights. Prices are very good, and the view from this hotel toward the water and the beautiful bay is impressive. However, many things need maintenance.

The receptionist went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

The hotel is good for a quick stop before boarding the cruise. The breakfast was not fresh, and the bathroom had a bad odor.
