Hotel The Botanik Sewoon Myeongdong

“Super Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.”

A fantastic hotel in a great location, very central near the subway station. You can walk to various markets in the evening. We were also allowed to check in two hours early at no extra cost. The facilities are superb with a washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, and a steamer for laundry – perfect! The view from the hotel room faced a large construction site, so we chose not to use the balcony.

Excellent location, very good metro connectivity. Multiple construction sites in front of the building and long wait times for the elevators.

Clean and friendly staff, but the room was smaller than expected.

“In Ordnung zwecks toller Lage”

Very good location. The room size is okay, generally well equipped with a balcony. The breakfast, as we from Liechtenstein found, was a bit unfamiliar and not very high quality; I’d suggest not booking it. A refrigerator and kettle are available, and you get plenty of water bottles. The room looked dirty with stains and a lot of dust. The bidet in the toilet was not set properly and sprayed sideways. No US or EU TV. Breakfast was not very tasty, and the cutlery/servingware was very dirty, with hair in the salad. An extra fee of 5000 Won per large suitcase for 4 hours storage. The elevators are not synchronized, causing long waits. Doors slam shut loudly.

“Still pleasant but can be better.”

The hotel is very close to the mrt and however it is far from the heart of myeongdong. Need to change line to get to myeongdong. That the second bedroom has no door and no airconditioning. It is disturbing for the sleep if others are using the bathroom
