You can't ask for more in terms of location: right on the shore of a large lake, within walking distance to the Guatemala border, and the hotel restaurant was right next door. The only downside was that we had to ask them to refill the propane tank so we could have hot water.

The lake‑view location is amazing, and the staff are very helpful, kind, and respectful, going out of their way to keep guests comfortable. Everything about the place is great, though you shouldn’t expect luxury for the price. The cabins are cosy and clean, but they aren’t soundproofed, so you might hear dogs barking at night and possibly noisy neighbours.

Muy buena atención del personal, muy limpio, muy tranquilo, a unos pasos de la frontera con Guatemala y su mercado y a orilla de un hermoso lago. Se podía oír la conversación del cuarto de enseguida, pero no me molestó por ser familia 😉

Lovely rustic cabin with a front‑row view of Lake Tziscao. The family that runs the cabins and restaurant were lovely, and the food was great! We enjoyed our stay.
