“Great hotel in convenient location”

I loved the old building with frescos in the breakfast room, the location was ideal—just a stone’s throw from the train station and close to shops, restaurants, and transport. The room was clean and functional, and the barman was friendly and knowledgeable. As a train enthusiast, I was thrilled to have a room overlooking the tracks and would love to stay there again. However, the lady at reception was very officious, my dinner at the restaurant was only average, and my steak was cold and sinewy—nothing like what I expected from a hotel in the gourmet capital of the world.

“Perfect location for a city break. Close to turistic objectives and metro station.”

Located just outside the Lyon‑Perrache train station with good metro connections, the hotel is very clean, the restaurant excellent, and the staff exceptional; the rooms are large and fully equipped.

“Ceci n'est pas un 4*”

I booked a room for one person with a “full bed” but received a tiny room with a twin bed. I had also specifically requested a quiet room, yet I was faced with the station and passing trains. There was no climate control before 7 am, and at 6 am I woke up overheated because the system wouldn’t turn on. The furnishings were almost nonexistent—just a footboard next to the bed as a nightstand, no drawer, basically IKEA‑style. The toiletries list was wrong (“toilletries” should be “toilletrie(0)”), and I only found shower gel—no shampoo, conditioner, or cream. The hotel is far from everything, even from the city center and the station, making it completely impractical.

“Très bon emplacement et près du vieux Lyon”

L’hôtel est magnifique, aussi bien l’extérieur que l’intérieur, le petit-déjeuner très varié rst excellent et le personnel à vos petits soins. Rien à reprocher
