The hotel is ideally located; the rooms are very comfortable with a colonial‑inspired décor, and the patio, lush with vegetation, has a lot of charm. The rooftop, however, has no charm at all—the restaurant furniture needs replacing and the terrace should be vegetated, and the pool edges (the strip between the water and the lip) need cleaning.

The location is great, and the staff welcomed us warmly and were always more than helpful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and the breakfasts were perfectly splendid—thanks to all the staff and the General Manager.

This is the most beautiful hotel in Morocco; I love it! Everything is perfect, the staff are adorable and attentive to guests, the breakfast is hearty and very good, and it’s wonderfully situated in the medina.

The hotel sits in the charming medina of Essaouira, with well‑decorated rooms and comfortable interiors, and the building’s historic feel is a plus. The breakfast buffet was delicious, featuring Moroccan specialties, and the director’s hospitality was appreciated. For a second stay, we found the staff less available, perhaps a bit overwhelmed by a full hotel during our visit.

“Bien dans l’ensemble”

The breakfast was good, though nothing special, and the hotel’s location is great with a nice view. Dinner was served nicely but a bit too quickly between courses. The rooftop didn’t match the photos on the website, which was disappointing. The staff’s welcome felt lacking for some guests, especially for a Relais & Châteaux property, and the rooftop was a real let‑down.
