The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, making my stay a pleasant one.
Our room was immaculately clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
The breakfast on my first day was also a highlight, with a delicious full English breakfast

“Forest of Dean is worth a second visit, there is so much to do and see!”
The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. My wife appreciated having a dressing table with a nearby electric socket. Our room, four‑poster number 40, was great, though a rubbish dump was visible through the left‑hand side window. The dinner we ordered in the orangery took an hour and ten minutes to arrive, but we understand that there was a big wedding party at the exact same time. That won’t stop us from coming again.

The hotel feels quaint and historic, which I loved. The staff were the best and the service amazing. The food was exceptional, and the breakfast included in our room rate was beyond compare. I was staying for the uke fest and every day we ate like kings. Thank you! The Speech House is amazing, but my only complaint is that I wish I had stayed in the main building instead of one of the outside buildings; it just didn’t have the same ambience as the main house. If I have another chance to visit, I will ask for a specific area.
