Castello di Zumelle, a historic castle in Mel, offers elegant guest rooms with parquet floors, private entrances, and garden terraces overlooking alpine vistas. Family rooms feature en‑suite bathrooms, free toiletries, and a refrigerator. The inner courtyard and picnic area invite outdoor leisure, while nearby hiking, cycling, and attractions such as Villa Zugni Tauro and Castelbrando Museum enhance the stay.

If you’re after something truly unique, this place is spot on; in the evenings you’re almost alone on the castle, able to explore every corner, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast at the Burgschenke was fantastic.

We spent one night in the stunning Camera dei Pianeti at Castello di Zumelle and the experience was genuinely immersive. Every detail of the whole property is meticulously cared for and helps you feel like you’re really traveling back in time. Lunch and breakfast were enjoyed at the Taverna del Castello, a setting that I highly recommend because the medieval tavern atmosphere makes the meal even more evocative. A special shout‑out to Tiziana, who proved to be a kind and thoughtful host. She welcomed us with great warmth, made us feel comfortable right away, and added to the pleasantness of our stay. I can only recommend this place.

The location is distinctive and unique. Breakfast is basic. The tavern is a great spot for dinner; I ate a very good tagliata and the portions are generous. The staff are friendly. The breakfast could be a bit richer, though it already offers both sweet and savory options.
