The room was cool and ready when I arrived, but there was a blood stain on the sheets; the young ladies swapped them and re‑made the bed, while the guy next door kept slamming his door and barging in and out a ridiculous number of times.

Breakfast was mediocre: scrambled eggs were runny, sausage gravy and biscuits lacked flavor, though the staff were friendly; we booked for five but were told only two queen beds were available and no cots were allowed, and when we asked why we hadn’t been warned they said we’d booked through a different channel, were not very courteous, and we ended up three people sleeping sideways on the same bed, which was uncomfortable.

I always stay here, but this time the front desk clerk added an extra $20 to my bill and promised a refund at checkout, which never happened, so I was charged more than I had paid. I was also charged for more than the two people I was traveling with.
