Located directly on Lake Constance's shores in Wangen, Residenz Seeterrasse Restaurant & Hotel offers a private beach area, a restaurant, and complimentary WiFi. Rooms feature TVs with satellite channels, desks, and private bathrooms with hairdryers, with some offering lake views. The hotel is near Wangen am Bodensee Ferry Terminal and Wangen Rathaus Train Station, a 2-minute walk away.

The restaurant food was great, the service friendly, and the location nice, but the rooms were outdated, the shower had no ventilation, the tiny toilet was uncomfortable and also lacked ventilation, and everything felt very old.

We stayed in a bright, sunny room with a balcony overlooking the lake—though the lake itself had no water. The decor was nice, the mattress comfortable, and the bedding was good. The location was special, and the breakfast was excellent, varied, fresh, and plentiful. We were very satisfied with our choice of hotel. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Breakfast was good, especially considering the price. The hotel was beautifully situated on Lake Constance, with a great terrace and sandy beach. There was a private parking area that was accessible from all sides, but it wasn’t particularly secure, even though you have to pay for it. Arriving into a dark, enclosed hotel was not very welcoming. Also, the numbers on the lockbox for your room key were almost unreadable at dusk, so you had to guess which door matched your room number.

The hotel is right on the lake, offering a relaxing and evocative view. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the on‑site restaurant specializes in fish. Breakfast is also varied, and the overall value for money is excellent.
