Phaistos Hotel

Free parking. The room was spacious. The reception staff were polite. However, the cleaning staff outside the rooms shouted loudly at 10 am to coordinate who would clean which room; the bathroom was not adequately clean; the mattresses were old and sagged.

The staff were really nice and helpful, even when I reached out through Booking; the pool was very clean and pleasant; the bungalow was roomy with a nice balcony overlooking the bay and convenient parking right in front of the room, so the hotel gives good value for money. The hotel sits on a hill, so you need a car to reach the town, as the places are not really within walking distance (even the beach requires a car). The room facilities are outdated and the room was not very clean when we received it.

Bungalows with great views! Great pool! Unfortunately you can't walk straight down to the beach; private properties are fenced off, requiring a fairly long detour by road.

Everything was perfect: the room with a pool view, the staff, the cleanliness, the location – I'll definitely return.

The host was very friendly and spoke fluent English. The room was a bit basic but had everything you needed, and the balcony offered a nice view of the pool. The pool itself was great with plenty of sunbeds for everyone, and the beach and restaurants were only a 5‑10 minute walk away. The only downside was that the Wi‑Fi was a bit slow.
