I couldn’t recommend this accommodation more highly! The staff were fantastic, kind, and welcoming, and they also handled food allergies very well. The food was delicious, and the accommodation is perfect for a peaceful getaway. We walked around the tea estate and got a personalized, informative tour of the tea factory. I wish we had booked for two nights.

We spent two weeks traveling around southern India, and this place was absolutely fabulous! The landscape and area were incredibly beautiful, just breathtaking. Valparai is far more unspoiled and magical than Ooty. We had an amazing colorful walk in the morning, spotting birds, animal tracks, and a little local temple tucked into the tea fields. Don’t miss the drive to the stream—a magical spot—and we were lucky to see a wild elephant strolling in the fields on our way. Unfortunately we didn’t arrive in time for an evening walk to see leopards, so we wish we had more time at Sinna Dorai. Next time we’ll arrive earlier in the day and stay an extra day. The staff’s kindness made our stay very special; we had some logistics problems and they were so helpful in calling around and fixing everything. A warm recommendation from us—we’d love to return in the future!
