Not much to say positively. It was a bit uncomfortable.

The breakfast was delicious. However, you have to watch out for the voucher given for the thermal baths; in my case the voucher I received was paid and wasn’t valid for the tourist spot. I had to call to get a valid voucher, which is a kind of receipt with the number of people who will use the facilities, sent to me via WhatsApp.

The location is excellent and the hotel is comfortable. Every day the owner bakes a different type of delicious gluten‑free cake for breakfast – highly recommended. The hotel shares its reception with Maricio, an absolutely fantastic guide who worked extremely hard to secure the best deals on onward transport, gave great hiking tips, and was very helpful and friendly even when there was no financial benefit for him – we trusted him so much that we even asked him for help arranging transport once we moved to our next destination.

Great location, Mauricio is very knowledgeable about activities throughout Costa Rica. The breakfast is amazing and you get a free pass to hot springs. There is traffic noise
