Shalom Backpackers Anjuna Goa

The staff and the vibes made it a really great spot for me, to be honest. I liked Ryan and Ajay, and the other guests—Brandon and Miss Titli—were the highlight of my stay; thanks to everyone. Some charging points in the dorms don’t work, so I had to look for extensions.

“Pathetic stay”

The property is nowhere near what the pictures show. I booked for 5 days, trusting the photos and amenities listed on their website, and I regret it. There was no proper hygiene or cleanliness, and most of the advertised amenities were missing. No TV, and the AC didn’t cool the room. The actual room and facilities were completely different from the ads. I strongly advise against booking if you rely on the online photos and amenities.

“If you dont care about anything but a bed you can to this hostel…you wont get anything else…no cleanliness, no comman ar”

The location is good, and that might be the only thing worth mentioning about this hostel. The hostel is so degraded that nothing remains in the common area…hostels should be places where strangers can sit together and get to know each other, but nobody sits in the common area because it’s too dirty. The AC in the 4‑bed mixed dorm makes so much noise it feels like a motor running; when I asked for it fixed, the staff said it’s just how it is and can’t be repaired. I stayed for 3 nights, and the room was never cleaned. I’ve been staying here since 2021 and liked it back then, but it’s been getting worse each year, and this year was the last time I’ll go to Shalom. On top of that, the staff is very unfriendly, living their own lives in the hostel.

“Not good”

Staff was good, but the facilities were very bad; the room looked very old, the pool was not good, and there was no common area.

“Nothing”

I had no positive or negative points to mention.
