Ambondrona Beach lies a six‑minute walk away; Fascene Airport is 21 km distant, with nearby scuba‑diving sites.

A beautiful spot with a stunning sea view, the chalet instantly makes you feel both on vacation and at home. The host is welcoming, attentive, and very present. The mangoes and tea plants are a bonus, which is great! The TV was lacking.

Tatiana is very welcoming and recommends outings and excursions, even providing a trusted guide and arranging airport transfers. The sea‑view bungalow was fantastic, and we enjoyed the sunsets from our balcony. The kitchen is very functional, and a maid cleans daily, keeping it very tidy! We felt very comfortable at Chalet de Melinda. The bathroom could use more shelves, and a hair dryer would be nice.

If you’re a bit skeptical, just ask Tata and Captain at Chalets de Mélinda – they’ll make you feel at home in this family‑friendly, pleasant place with well‑equipped chalets spread across a beautiful, wooded, typical Malagasy landscape. Tata’s hospitality and services are always thoughtful. For the game lovers, there’s pétanque and backgammon, but you’ll need to brace yourself to face Captain. Jason Statham 😁

After voicing concerns and discussing with the owner, we were upgraded to a higher‑level bungalow for a small extra fee. This hillside bungalow was much more airy, comfortable, and spacious. Being farther from the road, traffic noise was noticeably less disruptive. The terrace was pleasant, offering a magnificent view of the coastline below and the sea. We had booked the standard room (bungalow 2). It was so close to the road that sleeping was difficult because of intense, late‑night traffic and early‑morning noise. The bed was very uncomfortable, and a constant smell of varnish/essence was very annoying. The bungalow was surrounded by vegetation, limiting airflow and creating a stuffy atmosphere that also encouraged mosquitoes.
