All praise – everything was top‑level: the hosts, the food, the accommodation. The meals were plentiful and the service generous, a true home‑cooked experience that keeps the tradition alive. A big thank you to the hosts for such warm hospitality and kindness, and for the new friendship. I’ll definitely come back for another clean, perfect stay.

The hospitality, the dinner and breakfast prepared by the hosts, and the overall atmosphere all deserve the label “extraordinary.” Sure, the offered block‑cabin isn’t a super‑luxury property; those expecting that will feel out of place in Rudno. The essentials work great: the lodging is clean, the air is fantastic, and the owning couple is extremely empathetic and warm. As soon as we arrived, coffee and Rakija were served. Rudno could be a wonderful starting point for extensive hikes in the surrounding Dinaric mountains, especially around Mount Golija – but that would require a reliable, well‑marked trail network first. Unfortunately, what exists is largely neglected: overgrown paths, wild, missing or poorly visible markers, almost no signposts, and storm damage making many routes impassable.

The apartment sits in a great spot in central Rudna. The accommodation is excellent, the staff phenomenal, and the food superbly homemade.
