J‑Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse sits in Hongu, just a 10‑minute drive or 70‑minute walk along the historic Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine. A five‑minute stroll leads to the ancient Yunomine Hot Spring, while the guesthouse offers two indoor baths and an open‑air on‑site soak. Bicycle rentals are provided, and Kansai International Airport lies 2½ hours away.

The facilities were really good, with three natural onsen that you can use anytime. However, we found a bed bug in the bed and couldn't sleep well because it’s a horrible pest that lays eggs and reproduces quickly.

This place is great; it has everything a hiker needs to recharge and excellent onsen facilities! No negatives.
