The 4-star Courtyard by Marriott Bremen is situated directly beside Bremen Central Station and 200 metres from the Messe Exhibition Centre. This historic hotel features soundproofed rooms with tea/coffee makers, flat-screen TVs, and wired internet, plus a 24-hour shop and free fitness facilities. On-site parking and a full breakfast buffet are available, along with the Lloyd Bar & Restaurant serving Bremen specialties and American dishes.

The street noise was clearly audible from my room, the bathroom needed a renovation, and even cheaper hotels give a free bottle of water as a welcome gift, but this place apparently doesn't consider that necessary.

We're regulars, and aside from the hotel being good, the location matters most: close to the city center, the Bürgerpark, and especially the train station. Who decided to remove the draft beer from the restaurant/bar Beck's? A terrible choice for a hotel in Bremen!

The restaurant served tasty, well-prepared dishes. However, there was a bit of chaos with room cleaning and details: one day the staff didn't come to clean or refill the coffee packets, milk, etc., and the family room we booked for three adults didn't have enough towels.
