For a relaxing trip, it was truly soothing. The owner had a well-behaved dog, and the breakfast he made was delicious! Because food was hard to find nearby, eating breakfast before heading out let me enjoy the day fully. I stayed in a Japanese-style room with a sliding door, so conversation had to be quiet. Sleeping was basically in a middle-floor position that required climbing stairs. Everything else was excellent— the bathroom had a cedar bath tub, the owner installed a soft water system, and my skin felt silky; just watch out for the small black mosquitoes that are everywhere in Hualien.

Breakfast was excellent, the hosts were pleasant, and the natural scenery was calming. The location was a bit far from the center and restaurants, but we walked about twenty minutes to a recommended restaurant that turned out to be great.

Breakfast was superb. You need your own transport because it’s a little far from other facilities like convenience stores or restaurants.
