The staff were extremely courteous, greeting me warmly with fresh fruit and a personally written welcome card. I slept very well and felt very cared for. I will book again next year.

What a beautiful place, with fantastic views and friendly staff. My stay was short but very relaxing!

Everything.

The buffet breakfast had a solid spread – pastries, cereal, fruit, eggs and bacon – and you could help yourself to whatever you liked. They also ran a shuttle into Lucerne, which was handy, but it stopped pretty early in the evening so you’ll need another way to get around after that. Otherwise I didn’t really find anything to complain about.

Our room was super comfy and the view over Lake Lucerne was gorgeous; the hotel sits right near the city centre, the main sights and a beautiful park that’s perfect for hikes, plus it’s next to the golf course. The catch is that it’s essentially a senior‑care facility – a 4‑star “wellness” hotel for older guests – something Booking should flag more clearly.
