Hotel Ristorante Stella

The hotel is modest and typical for the area, and we needed a place close to the motorway exit, so overall it worked. The hotel matches the photos exactly. The breakfast was minimal; I expected a homemade option beyond the offered donut. The selection was limited to cappuccino or coffee, toast and jam, an empty croissant, and a donut.

The breakfast is simple but decent. The location is excellent, right in the town center. Service is great.

The room price is good, and the room had a new air conditioner. The furnishings are a bit dated but acceptable overall. For just over 60 € per night, it’s fine. The central location is convenient for walking, but parking the car is definitely difficult. Breakfast is served at a table, not buffet.

The central location of the hotel was a plus. We called a few days before arrival to let them know we’d be late due to logistics. The night guard (probably the owner) was not very pleasant, shouting at the intercom and telling us to knock when we arrived late. After receiving the keys (old style, not magnetic), we entered a room that looked like the 1970s; it was mostly clean except for a sofa covered in hair. Breakfast offered very little variety; we had to settle for whatever was available (an apple cake and a plumcake on two trays that had probably been there for days). At check‑out no one was at reception, so I went to the owner to inform him that I’d left the keys at reception and that we were leaving. Given the treatment we received—except for the cleaning lady and the breakfast guy—I won’t return.
