“Very dated, but beds comfortable”

The hotel was close to town and offered space for two cars on the property, despite being on the main street. A friendly guy at reception was helpful. The building itself looked old and needed a makeover; everywhere there were faded artificial plants. The bathroom curtain had been hanging since the motel opened and was dusty. The toilet and shower were too small for a larger person, and the heater was on a stand instead of on the wall. The electric blanket plug was missing two prongs, and the dining chairs were fragile and wobbly.

“Most enjoyable and everything you need for a couple nights.”

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and received daily service. The place was a bit noisy at night, but we were warned about this before booking.

I was charged for a room that never existed, and they claimed no record of my booking, so I felt ripped off.

No toiletries, no coffee or tea sachets, the milk in the fridge was frozen and stale; other guests were noisy, vehicles kept arriving and leaving at 4 am, with shouting and screaming—an awful experience.
