The breakfast was excellent, which was a pleasant surprise compared to the previous hotel that only served Chinese food. Two good shopping centres and the Shanghai Tower are within walking distance. The location is great.

The breakfast was fine and reasonably priced, and the place looked clean and healthy. First, I received too many confirmation emails about my arrival time; I replied, yet the confirmation kept coming. You can’t control it most of the time because of transport issues, and this was the first time I was bothered by such a question. Second, the elevator for the Intercity hotel ran unexpectedly slowly, and you have to wait for it patiently. Of course, I was enjoying a courtesy lift with another elevator by a waiter.

The hotel was excellent—everything earned a top score: the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the location was great. The breakfast was a 1000‑point affair, offering everything you could want with daily variety, making it one of the best hotels we've stayed at on our many trips. Nothing to complain about.
