The island was awesome, but the owner never fixed anything.
“Our stay was good enough except the low water flow. We enjoyed the free coffee in the morning. TY”
Water was insufficient for the group, especially since we were in two family rooms, and the flow was low.
“Bang for the buck”
We definitely exceeded our expectations; we didn’t rent any motorcycle or service, but the location was very accessible (just one motorela from poblacion) and a short walk to Yumbing and other tourist spots (White Island is walking distance, while the sunken cemetery, church ruins and old walkway are just one ride away). If you like hiking, Ardent Hot Spring and JOP for Mt. Hibok‑Hibok are only 3 km away, so the spot was very strategic. Sari‑sari stores and carinderias are nearby if you need anything. The place was serene, secluded from the noise of bars in Yumbing, and all staff were very accommodating – overall a relaxing stay, and we’ll definitely choose it again on our next visit to Camiguin. The pillows were too soft for our preference (which we should’ve requested, so it’s partly our fault), but otherwise there’s nothing negative to say.
“Buen lugar”
The spot’s location is great, the staff are friendly, the beds are comfy and spacious, and the private terrace comes with a pergola, tables and chairs; the place is quiet, beautiful with lots of plants, offers free water and coffee, and has a shared kitchen – we’d definitely stay again. The air conditioning is very noisy and has no remote; the lantern broke twice in five days; the room is very small; there was no hot water, though the cold was fine for a shower.
It’s great, under $20 a night in low season, you can meditate on the porch and enjoy the garden, but there’s no hot water – I’m okay with a cold shower in hot weather – the plastic chairs aren’t very comfortable either, though the price is good so you get what you pay for.
