Friendly and cosy breakfast, but the price tag was a bit steep and the dinner selection was limited and just okay. The place was generally clean, though a few spots in the room could have used a deeper clean.

The building is old but has been modernised and updated nicely. The food, bar, and restaurant were good. The only thing worth noting is that there are great discounts on food from Monday to Thursday; we missed that because we stayed Friday to Saturday.

The restaurant is popular, full on Sunday Roast days, and there are a few nicely decorated guest rooms upstairs. The beds are lovely, the shower is good, and the textiles are nice. A warm welcome and plenty of off‑site parking, including for electric cars. Nothing to add.

We love this place and come at least twice a year. The location is great, the food and atmosphere are enjoyable, and the rooms have never caused any issues – clean, tidy, with a great shower and helpful staff. The room was a bit warm, but opening the window solved it.
