“Unfassbar schön.”

The location was incredibly beautiful, especially when the day tourists headed down. Watching the chamois was fascinating. The staff at the cogwheel railway, at reception, and in the hotel were very helpful and kind. The rooms were well equipped, the four‑course menu was an experience. We were able to pause and enjoy the sunset, and the sunrises were even better. Nothing negative.

“One of The other Wonders of The World”

We had been dreaming about this place for years, and it finally lived up to the hype. The cog rail gave us amazing views, and the staff were a lifesaver with our luggage and my wife’s mobility issue, moving us to the bottom carriage so we could use the elevator at the top instead of climbing the “loading” steps. The room was superb and cozy. Dining in the Victoria Room was first‑class, though the menu was a bit limited. As older travelers, hauling our bags from the station to the hotel was tiring—perhaps a courtesy trolley would help. It was disappointing that the high‑end hotel welcomed many day‑tourists and diners who didn’t respect the dining room’s standards by wearing T‑shirts and baseball caps. But we’re old‑fashioned, after all!
