It’s a shame I can only give 10; it deserves at least double that. As soon as you enter, you’re transported to another world of tranquility and relaxation, with the staff being incredibly kind (excellent English) who greet you and make you feel at home immediately. The Japanese‑style room is a marvel, full of details that make it special and let you experience what it feels like to live in such a house. Tatami on the floor make every step comfortable, futons are super cozy, and relaxation is guaranteed. Dinner and breakfast, both Japanese‑style, enjoyed while wearing the yukata provided upon arrival, are simply amazing, with many courses each better than the last, all cooked and presented spectacularly. I truly left my heart at Ryokan Asunaro! As for a flaw, how can there be any in such a place?

“Superbe expérience pour une première dans un ryokan.”

The welcome, hall architecture, breakfast options (continental or Japanese), small gestures from staff (luggage carry, suitcase wiping, departure gift), room furnishings, and the quiet neighborhood are all great. The downside is the small size of the men’s onsen pool and the fact that the rooms aren’t in the ryokan itself but in a more contemporary building that connects to the ryokan.

“Excellent service great location rooms spacious”

The rooms were very clean and larger than expected. Staff were very polite and extremely efficient. The public bath was a real treat.

The heritage facilities, room, location, and food are excellent, but the pressure at dinner time to start and finish courses quickly is a drawback.

Instalaciones preciosas cuidadas al detalle. Amenities de calidad y muy muy cuidados. Una pena que el onsen no pueda reservarse de forma privada. Recomiendo mucho la cena y desayuno tradicionales. Experiencia muy top. Te dan yukata para que te muevas por el hotel
