“A wonderful, comfortable and friendly stay with outstanding good quality food.”

The food was excellent and far exceeded expectations. Dinner was superb and it was one of the best steaks that I have had in a very long time. The menu was great and breakfast was of high quality and served in a friendly and comfortable environment. The hotel was very old and quirky and individual. Much nicer than staying in a hotel with a corporate and impersonal feel. Walked through the gardens (Herb garden and secret garden) which were clearly loved. Would 100% stay there again. Nothing we didn't like

“Very comfortable bed”

Everything was spotless and cozy. The Anise room’s shower head had been patched with selotape, so I stuck to the larger shower head to avoid getting my hair wet.

The staff and restaurant were excellent. The building is very old, and the rooms need a serious makeover.

A lovely, homely hotel with comfortable rooms and beds. The restaurant offered a modern, vegetarian menu that was superb. Even though it sits on a road, the nights are very quiet.
