“Top hostel especially for cyclists”
A friendly gentleman at the counter guided us around and we found a secure parking area for bikes that even had power for e‑bike charging—what a perfect central location with clean facilities. I couldn’t find anything to complain about; it’s an excellent spot in the heart of Ballater.

The spot’s location was ideal, the vibe was very relaxed, and the amenities were solid, including secure bike storage. There was nothing negative to mention.

The private room had a separate toilet from the bathroom and the bedding was good. The room itself was really well done. The staff were lovely, the place was quiet, and it’s located in a charming little town. The only issue was that the wheels on the bed couldn’t be locked; you have to be careful not to lean against the wall or the bed will roll—just a small detail.

The staff were welcoming and the location was great. We had a private room that was perfect for our family. The mattresses felt a bit uncomfortable, but there were plenty of blankets and it still offered great value for money.

The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, the room was roomy and clean, the shower was great, and the toilet was spotless. It’s close to shops and the owner is very friendly, with plenty of parking nearby. The only drawback was that there wasn’t much view or daylight.
