“Comfortable rooms and helpful owners, but be prepared to pay extra for everything.”

The hotel was a solid choice. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the veranda was a nice spot to relax in the evening. It’s well situated for reaching the island’s main sights—though, to be fair, you can cycle around the entire island in a day anyway. One of the owners’ relatives works as a taxi driver, so there’s always someone to call, and he handles the transfer between the port and the hotel. The owners are very responsive and genuinely try to solve any problem you run into. That said, it wasn’t without its downsides. The main one: everything costs extra. Everything. We asked to stay on the property for two hours after checkout while waiting for our ferry, and they wouldn’t budge on charging us for it. We paid with a large note and were told there was no change available – but the moment we said we’d just leave instead, the change turned up immediately. Bike rental on site is another. The prices were well above what we saw elsewhere on the island, and the markup on e‑bikes was several times over. The owner told us the bikes aren’t even hers — yet they’re parked on the property around the clock. Worth knowing before you book: the stay itself is good, but budget for the extras and rent your bikes somewhere else.

“Exactly what I was looking for, I felt at peace, comfortable and safe and could go and explore the island easily from he”

A home away from home, this beautiful cottage is kept clean and neat, the manager Lindy and her family are absolutely lovely, it is very safe, calm, quiet (away from the loud/busy area but easy to get to everything). The rooms are really sweet, the garden lush, the breakfast and dinner excellent. There are bikes available, good internet, life is easy. Nothing!

“Wonderful stay in La Digue!”

The place was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and its location was perfect for exploring the island; the staff welcomed us warmly and were helpful all the way through, providing exactly what we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable experience, so we’d definitely stay again.

“Schöne Unterkunft, tolle Lage, freundliche Betreuung”

Das Bwaver Cottage ist eine eher einfache Unterkunft, aber für unseren Aufenthalt auf La Digue absolut passend. Das Schlafzimmer ist schlicht eingerichtet, dafür war das Bett sehr bequem. Ein Kühlschrank ist vorhanden, der Schrank könnte aus unserer Sicht etwas praktischer gestaltet sein. Das Badezimmer war gut und hatte eine schöne, kräftige Dusche. Das Frühstück kann optional dazugebucht werden und wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Es war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Wer lieber selbst kocht, hat ebenfalls diese Möglichkeit. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Lindy die äusserst sympathisch, freundlich und hilfsbereit war und uns bei allem gerne weitergeholfen hat. Die Fahrräder, die man vor Ort mieten kann, waren ebenfalls in einem sehr guten Zustand. Ein kleines zusätzliches Highlight wären noch Lichter an den Fahrrädern gewesen. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden das Bwaver Cottage für einen Aufenthalt auf La Digue weiterempfehlen
