Finca Los Perales

The house itself is very pretty, the access is not very complicated, and the views are incredible. I am very happy with my stay at Finca los Perales ❤️. The truth is, I was looking for nature and did not find anything that upset me.

“Une finca dans son jus qui reste agréable malgré pas mal de défauts”

The finca is beautiful, large and quiet, located among the vines. The site is lovely, the house itself is pleasant but needs refreshing, especially the bathroom and kitchen. The living rooms are spacious and pleasant. There is a parking spot in front. Contrary to what the presentation says, there is internet with Wi‑Fi repeaters, but the network is slow and unstable. It exists, though! This finca has a lot of potential, but the layout needs rethinking. You have to know what to expect: the equipment is present (dishwasher, washing machine, drying rack), but there are inconsistencies that "ruin" a bit of life. Example: the fridge is not in the kitchen but stored in a small room, in the entrance, accessed after passing a corridor… Not convenient for cooking! There are two rooms, one of which is at the far end of the house and you have to cross a patio to reach it. "Isolation" is impossible to manage for children under 10… The bathroom (which is from another era) is far from the master bedroom and you have to cross the same patio to reach it. For small nighttime needs, it is quite a deterrent! In short, these are layout problems… Apart from this, the rooms cannot be said to be very clean (there are insect traps everywhere and on the last day we found quite a few cockroaches… well, it’s the countryside but still…), lint behind furniture and under sofas, so the cleaning was rushed… You can feel that savings dominate, whereas a small paint job or the addition of a small piece of furniture in the bathroom would not cost much… A reasonably sized water balloon would not be a luxury either (there is less than 10 minutes of hot water, at 4 you have to hurry!). And the glaring lack of everyday products is annoying: we had to buy dish soap + detergent (no sample), toilet paper (there were 2 rolls for 4 days / 5 nights for 4 people…), there was no salt, no ground pepper, not even a bottle of water… In short, a tight price does not excuse a minimum of services.

“Decepcionante y sucia”

The covered gallery was great, especially on windy days. The house had charm and the location was very quiet. It’s fine to spend time walking around it and discovering its little details. The beds were very comfortable. It has no maintenance, the photos do not match the current state of the place. The bathtub was cracked and the water did not flow consistently. Sometimes it was just a trickle. They had not bothered to deep clean the place for a long time. We had to spend the first day cleaning cobwebs from the rooms and living areas, even when you turned on some lamps you could see huge ones on them. The kitchen furniture seemed never cleaned. The blankets, sheets and pillows smelled used, as did the sofas. The house is quite uncomfortable because it is so large and poorly distributed. Overall it smelled very bad, old, closed and used. At least a couple of air fresheners would not have been bad to make the stay bearable. The TV channels were not visible (the antenna was down) and the internet did not reach the rooms. The hair dryer only blew cold air. They only left us two 20 ml bottles of gel for three people for four days. And when we arrived there was a bed with only the sheets.
