The property looked great and we enjoyed eating with the other group there. The bathroom was roomy and cozy. However, the bed was uncomfortable and the host’s behavior was off-putting. Many upgrades were available but weren’t clearly listed or explained. We were told there were no restaurants in town, which contradicted what other pilgrims said, and the meal we bought there was overpriced and mediocre. Both the vegetarian and standard options were not worth the price. The host enforced many rules that felt more important than welcoming us. It was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend, and I wouldn’t feel safe staying here alone as a woman.

“VERY uncomfortable emotionally. Don’t stay here.”

The property was beautiful, very clean, and well decorated. The owner is intrusive and manipulative. He charges far more for food and laundry than any other hotel or restaurant we’ve seen, and none of these extra fees are advertised upfront. His massage was weird and inappropriate. We left very early just to get out of there.

“Scam, scam, scam”

The property looks great and has a lot of potential. BILL WAS ONLY ACCEPTED IN CASH, NO CARD OPTION, so we had to be ready to pay everything. The owner’s wife greeted us and told us the drinks in the fridge “were for us and take what you would like,” only to find out each drink cost 2 € and wasn’t listed anywhere. The host insisted on doing our laundry, and each piece we washed was 2 €. Dinner cost 30 € each, and with the property being over a mile off the Camino, there were not many other options. From the moment we arrived, the host gave off a bad vibe, accused us of drinking more than we had, and hovered over us for almost the entire stay. Extremely uncomfortable. When we sat down for breakfast he added up our room, dinner, laundry, drinks, and an extra 10 € “tax.” It was a strange, uncomfortable experience and the most expensive night on our Camino. I would never stay here again.

The property is set in beautiful, peaceful gardens. Our room and all shared areas were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. Fernando was a gracious and attentive host. The steam room was a relaxing bonus after a long day of walking the Camino. The optional three‑course dinner was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.
