Residence Inn by Marriott Naples

Everything was very clean, but it was far from the beach.

“Gute Lage, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, 2 Bedroom nicht für 6 Personen geeignet”

The location and value for money were decent and the breakfast was fine, but the place advertised seating for six yet only provided dishes and cutlery for four; the sofa bed was far from comfortable, the mattress was non‑existent, the springs were so thin they could be felt against the body, and when we asked the receptionist at night for an extra mattress she did nothing; the next morning another staff member finally managed to get a spare mattress for the following night.

The apartment was very spacious, fully equipped (including a stove and dishwasher), had two bathrooms, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, and it was an excellent spot for a family stay.

We were in Naples to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday, but the hotel was still under construction. The lobby was inaccessible because the tile was being removed, and dust covered everything. Our room, 303, seemed fine until we were getting ready for bed and saw black bugs on the pillows, the side of the mattress, the lamp shade, and both nightstands. I went to the front office at 9:05 pm and was told an engineer would come, but no one arrived, so I called again at 9:45 pm and requested a room change. We ended up in room 215. I expected better from the Marriott brand, and if we had known about the construction we might have chosen another property. I have photos and videos of the live black small bugs from the room.
