Luxury Room in the New Forest, Eling is a recently renovated guest house featuring spacious rooms with private bathrooms, showers, tea/coffee makers, hairdryers, free toiletries, streaming TV and a private entrance. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, on‑site parking, and proximity to Southampton’s attractions—10 km to the Mayflower Theatre, 11 km to the Cruise Terminal, and 17 km to the airport.

The price was good, but the room was far too small, as was the bathroom; there was barely enough space to make coffee. The owners tried to compensate with decoration, yet the lack of space made the stay less enjoyable.

Mel and Adam were fantastic hosts, friendly and accommodating during our short visit for a wedding in the New Forest. Everything was fine.

The spacious room and en suite were spotless, with plenty of storage and hanging space. The roomy shower was great, and there were generous amounts of toiletries, including period products. The bed was a great size and very comfortable. A wide selection of teas and coffees, plus cow’s and oat milk, were automatically provided. The room contained plenty of information about local attractions. Parking on site was convenient. The location is excellent for visiting Lyndhurst, Lymington, and other New Forest areas, with a pub, restaurant, takeaways, café, and convenience store within a short walk. Mel answered any questions promptly. I highly recommend this property.
