“Did not feel welcome! Rip off? Hostel & room is clean and nice.”
The place is very clean and the room is nice, but the kitchen isn’t well equipped; each traveler has to buy their own oil, which feels wasteful. No drinking water is provided. We asked to change the dates of our stay and they accepted it easily, which was kind. However, when we arrived they told us the room was only available for one night instead of two and refused to refund the extra night, claiming they had already helped us by changing the dates and that the payment was still pending. They later offered us early check‑in without charging the 30 Soles extra fee, but we declined. After about 20 minutes of back‑and‑forth, they suddenly had a room for two nights. The mixed signals were confusing, and I didn’t feel very welcome, though I appreciated the date change without extra cost. Laundry service is pricey.
