The room was very pretty, clean, centrally located and had a sea view. I’d recommend it for a short stay on Stromboli if you want to join a volcano tour. The tour itself is run by Stromboli Adventures, not the hotel; you pick up tickets at reception, it starts around 17:00, we went at 18:00. The suggested gear—wind jacket, etc.—felt overkill for mid‑August. I’d suggest hiking shoes, sneakers also work, short pants, light top to swap, water, and something to eat. The climb is tiring but not a marathon; moderate fitness is advisable. The guides spoke French, English, Italian, no problem.

The accomodation is just wonderful , the rooms are decorated simply with wonderful original artworks everywhere throughout the property. The hotel staff are welcoming and professional.The breakfast is very generous and many tastes are catered for ! The hotel is located right at the port and easy walk from the ferry and easy walk to the black sand beach. The trek is worth the view at the top BUT … need to know facts …The volcano trek is very hard in the heat even though you don’t leave the town centre until 6pm … with the hike up 2.5 hrs … one hour at the viewpoint for sunset and hopefully some volcanic action … the walk coming down is in the dark with head torches … got back to hotel at 1130pm, you do need to be fit and prepared for a fast pace both ways. You need to take 1.5 litres of water at least and take a dinner sandwich with you also

Excellent location, just a 5‑minute walk from the ferry, close to everything, and the included trekking was amazing. I chose the packed lunch option for the hike, which proved enough for two days. The staff are lovely and brew great coffee. The trekking rooms are part of the hotel; ours was on the ground floor/souterrain with its own patio and gate. There was a communication hiccup before arrival, but that was sorted out.
