The place is right where you want to be, within walking distance of the main sights, and free parking is a big plus, though it fills up fast after 7 p.m. The room comes with a safe, a microwave, and a coffee maker, but the coffee itself was subpar. There are plenty of eateries and cafés nearby, including a fantastic ramen spot almost directly opposite the hotel. The A/C was incredibly loud; fortunately, San Francisco’s cool evenings meant we didn’t have to crank it up at night. Cleanliness, however, left something to be desired: the bathroom and floor were not properly cleaned, and it seemed the staff only changed linens and towels without tidying the room.
The staff were clean and helpful, and the hotel’s proximity to Fisherman’s Wharf and the hop‑on hop‑off bus stop—right in front of the building—was a bonus. The downside was the noise from guests dragging suitcases past the window, which can be hard to ignore unless you’re an early riser.

The only issue was that, being a group of four staying for four nights, the limited size of the room became a bit chaotic over time; a slightly larger room would have been preferable.
