“Hotel Staff scammer”

The staff claimed my booking wasn't in their system when I tried to check in and tried to scam me; the service was awful. The old Malay woman at the desk should be fired.

The hotel is close to town and easy to reach. Unfortunately, rooms on the same level were not grouped together; I was at the front, my child in the back, and another guest in the middle.

At the front desk, the person asked why I had booked since the price seemed high, then showed me a rate for the same room that was half the published price. He also asked if I had ever been to Jerantut, which felt very awkward.

The staff were very friendly; Uncle Max, who was about 87, helped me even late at night, and the morning staff were also helpful. I forgot to ask the sister’s name from Terengganu. I really liked the area—so serene and relaxing, far from the main road. The hotel is in a housing area. The room wasn’t very clean; there was dust on the curtains and the floor felt dusty and blackish. The room was big with a nice mattress and pillow, but dust was noticeable when I entered. I prefer a firm mattress over a very soft one. The TV was a joke—it only worked on TV8 and even when I increased the volume to 100, nobody could hear it. It was so funny. With the price, I accept it. I just wanted to share my experience; others might have a different one.
