Fairfield Inn Suites Elkin Jonesville

The hotel was under renovation and I had no idea when I booked. The construction dust was an issue.

“The facilities are under construction; there is still a lot of dust in the dining room.”

The rooms feel cozy and spotless, but the ongoing construction leaves a lot of dust that set off allergies for me and others in our group. Breakfast could use more protein choices, and the price feels steep for what’s offered.

“Regretfully, it was not worth the money and a stain on Fairfield Inn's name.”

The phones were dead, the hot tub was shut down, and the hotel’s renovation status was only revealed a week after booking, which would have changed my plans. I had to use the laundry, but the machine’s wash cycle ran for over 1 ½ hours, forcing me to intervene at 10:30 pm to drain and spin, then wait another 30 minutes to dry. I also called several times for sheets, a blanket, and a pillow for the sofa bed for our grandson, which should have been ready because the reservation was for 2 adults and 1 child. I paid almost $300 for a single night and missed the basic amenities I expected.

The cost feels high for a place that offers no amenities, with constant construction noise and mess, and no access to the Jacuzzi or workout facility.

“Very disappointed stay. They are currently refurbishing the lobby and grounds. Way overpriced.”

The breakfast selection was very poor, and they ran out of eggs and never refilled the tray.
