Located in Rendham, Carlton Meres Holiday Park features family-friendly camping pods with ground-floor units offering lake views, private entrances, and shared bathrooms. The park boasts a fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, kids' club, and restaurant serving British and American cuisine. Nearby attractions include Framlingham Castle, Bungay Castle, and IP-City Centre, with Norwich International Airport 64 km away.

The location is lovely.

The camping pod was nice. However, the fishing window was only from 7 am to 3 pm, and because it was the weekend the swimming pool required a booked time slot and allowed only one swim; the water wasn’t very warm. Lighting around the pods was very poor when walking back from the club, especially after the toilet block, and there were no solar lights near the lakes for safety. The ladies’ toilet shower had an extra step like the men’s block, and the shop offered a very limited selection.

The staff were great and there’s plenty to do with kids; the site is fantastic and offers great value for money. I’ll be staying again. The setting is beautiful 😍. The walk to the toilets by the lake is very dark at night, so bring a light or a portable toilet to avoid any issues.

The spot is great and the lake is right in front of the pod, but there was no mirror, which was the only thing missing for me.
