Malmaison York

“Wonderful stay. Exceeded our expectations.”

The location, attention to detail, fantastic bedroom, and friendliness of staff made my first Malmaison stay beyond impressive. I can’t think of anything to criticize.

“Convenient for the city centre”

Breakfast was good, but the bread bun was very hard and the bacon was overcooked. I had to wait 40 minutes for the main breakfast items.

The location is perfect with easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants. The large twin room and spacious bathroom were great, and breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, offering a variety of continental items and a beautiful cooked breakfast. All staff were lovely. The kettle wasn’t very clean, and the glasses had lipstick marks on them; the lighting for makeup in the room wasn’t very good.

“It’s good in general”

The location was very convenient, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the complimentary drinks they offered us for our wedding anniversary, which was a lovely gesture!. We mentioned several times through the booking system that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, but never received a response. It was a little awkward having to remind the staff at check in, especially as we were hoping for something special. The hotel could definitely improve how they handle guest requests and communication before arrival

“Pleasant stay, great location. Would recommend and would stay again even if girlfriend struggles to put make up on:”

The central location and room layout were a hit, and it was comfortable overall. The lighting around the mirrors was poor, so my girlfriend had trouble applying makeup because she couldn’t see what she was doing.
