The room was nice, had a private bathroom, a balcony, and stunning mountain views; the host, Paro, was very friendly and met our needs, and the breakfast was both large and very, very good. Paro went above and beyond by making tea and coffee whenever we wanted. The location is great if you’re okay with a steep street to get in and out. The only minor issue was that the host didn’t speak English, so we had to use a translation app, which meant we couldn’t have deep conversations beyond accommodation questions.

Breakfast was amazing, cooked by Luigi’s mom – she really knows how to make a good start to the day. The place was spotless and only a 20‑minute walk from the bus terminal and 15 minutes from the castle, so location was perfect. The downside? The host didn’t give us any heads‑up that the bathroom was shared on the ground floor while our room was upstairs, and there were no curtains in the bedroom. Also, the host speaks no English, so any questions meant calling her son for help.

The staff were super friendly and the welcome was warm. My room and balcony were clean, and everything was within walking distance of restaurants and sights. Breakfast was delicious, the place was quiet, and the guest house itself was charming. The only thing that could improve is adding blackout curtains to the bedroom.
