Hotel Lauri, situated in Macerata's historic centre, is a 17th-century building offering elegant accommodations. The hotel is 200 metres from the University and Lauro Rossi Theatre. Rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV, and free Wi-Fi. A daily continental breakfast buffet is served. The hotel is less than a 1-hour drive from Ancona Falconara Airport.

The building was clean and new, and the staff were kind and helpful. The toilet paper in the bathrooms was excessively cheap.

The location in the old town was top, you can drive right up to the hotel and unload your luggage, then head a few corners into a public underground parking (6 EUR/day, free on Sundays and public holidays). The hotel sends a guide on how to do it. We had a suite that was perfect, everything was clean and new in an old house. The bathroom was flawless with a large shower. The hotel appears to be run by nice ladies; I didn’t see any men. Breakfast was perfect and plentiful in a large vaulted cellar. My recommendation for Macherata. Everything was good.
