The house has a great atmosphere, dinner at the restaurant was very good, the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection, and the quiet was fantastic, but the house feels a bit dated and the cleanliness didn’t convince me.

Communication with the hosts went smoothly, the reception was very warm, and we were immediately shown the facilities. Free parking and help moving luggage were provided. The room was spacious with plenty of storage, the bathroom had a hair dryer, good soap, and shower gel. The beds were comfortable. The room was very quiet. The whole property was beautiful, and the price included use of the swimming pool. Breakfast was fantastic, with many fresh, homemade items. In the afternoon we could freely enjoy coffee and tea on the patio. There was also a small 12th‑century chapel and a soap museum on the grounds. The owners were always trying to make the guests happy, which they succeeded in doing. The Abbey of Fontevraud, Chinon Castle, and other Loire castles are nearby.

Everything was perfect—an amazing place to stay, a must if you’re traveling down France, even if you have to go out of your way. The scent of the soaps from their shop as you enter the courtyard is a must‑experience. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Nothing to complain about.
