If you’re after peace, a traditional house, antiques, nature, friendly people, and an exceptional pool area, this is the place for you! Thanks for the warm welcome from Mónica, who even gave us a delicious pastry, and a big thank you to the owner, Rita. Patrícia, Rui, Olívia and Bob were also very helpful.

The Monte Costa Raiz feels truly authentic; I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart to our host Rita for her warm welcome that made us feel at home—otherwise I’d swear it wasn’t my house. I’ll definitely return.

The place is genuinely peaceful, letting you completely disconnect. The host is very approachable and always makes us feel comfortable. However, because the location is remote and far from restaurants and supermarkets, I suggest bringing pre‑made or pre‑prepared meals to avoid unnecessary trips; in the future, it would be nice if the accommodation offered a breakfast option.

We really liked it; it’s great for relaxing. The pool is fabulous and the people are very friendly.

The house is well equipped with everything you need, the pool is great, the staff are nice, and the space is immersive. The only downside is that the pool area could use more lighting at night.
