Breakfast was fine; they were still setting up that part on the roof top but still provided breakfast from the lower kitchen, and I loved the effort, yet the map of the local sightseeing area was missing at the reception even though I had already suggested it.
I stayed at Zemu Hostel in Gangtok and it was fantastic—especially for solo women travelers. From the moment I arrived, the hosts made me feel completely safe and comfortable, which is so important when you’re traveling alone. Zameer and Yuba thanks sooo much! You went above and beyond to help me with things!!They Incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist—whether it was with travel tips, local recommendations, or just making sure I was doing well. Your genuine care made all the difference. The hostel itself has a great vibe—clean, cozy, and perfect for meeting fellow travelers while still feeling relaxed. A great place to stay with nice staff.
Zemu Hotel is a good place with polite staff and good management. The hotel is neat and clean, but the entire area smells bad because many dogs roam openly around the hotel. The food quality is very poor. Also, the hotel is located outside the city, so you may have to spend around ₹300–₹400 on transport every time you travel to the main city area. Apart from these issues, the overall stay was good. Zemu Hotel is a good place with polite staff and good management.
