The decor instantly reminded me of the hotel from The Shining—maybe not for everyone, but I liked it. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, which was good for the price I paid. Breakfast wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful either, and the Wi‑Fi was a bit rough.

The price was low, but an error with the original booking caused a double booking. I called to report the issue and asked for a VAT invoice to claim on my expenses; they said they would send it but I never received anything even after days. I tried calling again, but it went straight to voicemail. When I arrived to check‑in I waited at the desk for 15 minutes. The front desk staff, who also handled the bar, only helped me after I had to ask twice because she seemed focused on pulling pints instead.

The property is very run down and needs an upgrade. The beds were so uncomfortable we didn’t sleep at all ,the view from our window looked like you were in a derelict building

Breakfast was nice, the room was comfortable, and the reception staff were really helpful and kind.
