Italian breakfast at a local bar: croissant, espresso, and water – classic and good. The surroundings gave off a slightly faded vibe, so walking around wasn’t very pleasant, though we never felt unsafe. What really needs replacement are the beds.

The property is literally across the street from the beach. The exterior, including the building entrance, hallway, and elevator, was shabby, but the room itself was excellent. Paola beach is rocky rather than sandy, but that’s a characteristic of the city beach, not the property.

The flat was clean and nice. It sits in a regular residential building. The beach is very close. We had to wait a while for the host to arrive, even though we had informed them of our arrival time, so the wait was a bit frustrating. Still, I recommend it. The balcony offers a good view, but adding at least one chair or a table would improve it; a €40 investment would double its usefulness.
