This 4-star hotel features modern amenities, a 2 AA Rosette-awarded restaurant with fresh seafood, and a hilltop location overlooking the harbour and Channel Islands. Victoria Pier and the shopping centre are within a short 2-5 minute walk.

The location is great with a beautiful view from our room, and the restaurant is excellent. Getting to the hotel by taxi was tricky because a nearby road was closed, and the stairs from the harbour were a bit hard to climb but manageable.

The views and the relaxing atmosphere were great, the staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable with stunning views across the port. If you have a lot of luggage (we didn’t) or mobility issues, remember the hotel sits on a hillside and is reached by hill paths or steps, as noted.

The view is superb, breakfast is very good, and the gentleman at reception is very friendly. The shower water heater and the bathroom ventilation are very noisy.

I was fortunate to receive an upgrade for a one‑night extension on the island (I’d been staying elsewhere). I booked the room the night before. The balcony view was astounding, offering a sweeping arc of the port that I thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely with a large bed, comfortable chairs, a clean bathroom, and its own private balcony. Breakfast had good quality and variety. The only downside was the bed’s soft pillow top – it felt like I was sinking, and there seemed to be two different mattresses together, both too soft for my taste; others might love it.
