The rooms were spacious and relaxed, making for a comfortable stay. The hotel seemed to have fewer guests than expected, perhaps because it’s a short walk from Oita Station. If you drive, the free parking is a real perk. I was on the 6th floor, near the elevator, and the door of a particular room made a loud noise when opened and closed, which was a bit annoying.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, and the rooms were comfortable. However, some signs were only in Japanese, for example the notice that you must wear swim caps in the pool. Having translations would be helpful.

I could use the gym and the large public bath, which was great. The staff even turned a sofa into a bed so a big child could sleep, and I was really touched by that kindness. I wish there had been a microwave, though.
