The area around 전북대 had plenty of restaurants. Parking was a problem, so I parked outside; I booked a two‑night stay but was told there was an extra fee for the consecutive night, though it disappeared if I checked out at 7 pm, change luggage, and re‑checked in at 7 pm—first time I’ve seen that. The first room had a strong odor, so I’m glad I switched. In the second room I closed the window at night, but it was still freezing and I couldn’t sleep properly; the blanket had a mysterious coffee‑stain. The price was low, so I thought I could just live with it, but I wish I’d paid a bit more for a warmer place.

A bus stop sat right behind the place and Deokjin Park was close, so getting around was great. I liked the location. But the overall stay was disappointing. The property calls itself a “hotel,” yet it used to be a motel, so the soundproofing was terrible—moaning, hallway laughter, and outside noise all seeped in. Check‑in wasn’t possible before 7 pm because the rooms were occupied for short stays, which is typical for motels. The bathroom door was glass with a semi‑transparent film, so you could see almost everything inside. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired; I even found clipped toenails on the floor, raising hygiene concerns. The front desk staff on the first floor behaved more like motel staff than hotel staff. I visited during peak season, so the price was high, but the facilities and service didn’t justify it. If you only care about location, it’s an option, but if you expect a quiet, clean, professional hotel, I can’t recommend it.
